Modes 7 an 8 don’t ask for the image dimensions. Those modes fit to the canvas size. It will also keep any empty space from the original image i case it’s a cutout.
Here are the video and written descriptions for all of the modes. I suggest going through them all. Modes 9 and 10 ask for the dimensions so maybe one of those is what you want.
