Is the dimension of the player png the same as the dimension of the template? If so then use Mode 7 or 8. hat will put the image in exact as it shows on the png
However, if the png dimensions are not the same then it will scale the png to fit the frame. So as long as the aspect ration of the png file is the same as the template then it will still work as you want.
If the aspect ratio is different then modes 7 and 8 will differ in how they fit onto the template. See this page here.
