    Try restarting the computer.

If that doesn’t fix it then right click on the CCX and select “Open With”.  If there is an option to open with “UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent” then select that and it should install.

If “UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent” is suppose to run automatically when double clicking. If that doesn’t happen or if the option is missing then the issue is with Creative Cloud itself.  You would need to contact Adobe to Fix Creative Cloud. I don’t know how to fix this issue but I know they have fixed it for others.  There is nothing differently that I can do on the CCX file itself to make it work. The issue is with the Adobe program when it won’t install CCX.

If you don’t want to contact Adobe then you can always just install manually. I made the manual installer just so people didn’t have to jump through hoops when Creative Cloud wasn’t working correctly with CCX files. Here is a link to the manual installers.  You basically just unzip a folder and move it into the Photoshop plugins folder.  The only caveat is you have to also uninstall the old CCX version you have installed under Plugin>Manage Plugins in the Photoshop menu.  If you manually install but don’t uninstall the CCX versions then Phototshop will use the CCX versions and not what is installed manually. The CCX version always take priority to use over then manually installed versions.

Here is a link to the manual installers. There are instructions on the page., It is super simple.
