You GPU is probably turned off in Photoshop. Go to the preferences and to the performance section.  Make sure the checkbox that says “Use Graphics Processor” is checked on.  If Photoshop doesn’t allow it to be turned on then there is a GPU conflict with Photoshop on your computer.  Also, if you turn it on and it keeps shutting on then Photoshop is having GPU compatibility issues.

You can also go to Help>GPU Compatibility in the Photoshop menu to check the compatibility. That will tell you if the GPU is compatible and if the driver is out of date.  Updating Windows doesn’t automatically update the GPU driver. So it’s quite possible that the driver is old and needs updated to work properly with Photoshop.
