Does it open the first image?

If it opens the image and can’t find the face then it may be that the GPU is turned off in Photoshop.  In the Photoshop preferences, under the performance section, is the checkbox that says “Use Graphics Processor” checked on?  If not then turn it on and try again.

If it never opens any images at all then it is a folder permission issue.  In that case, is the folder a local drive or a network drive. Please try putting the folder on the desktop and try again.

Let me know on these things and if you are still issues then provide more details about exactly what happens when it tries to run.
