Sorry for the delayed response. I was out of the office all day, so I’m catching up on responses now.

How are you checking the template? If the profile is “untagged”, then Convert To Profile will lie to you show is as being sRGB (or whatever your color setting working profile is, when it is actually untagged. Untagged means there is no ICC profile at all assigned, so PS defaults to assigns the currently working profile which is normally RGB. This could be what is happening.

Please install as check the profile with the Pixnub sRGB  converter plugin.  This will show if it is untagged and isn’t actually sRGB.  Here is the download link to the plugin. This will tell you is the ICC profile is actually applied or if it is untagged.

See this screenshot. When you run the sRGB Coverter plugin, does it show sRGB iE61966-2.1  in it?  I have seen other profiles just say sRGB, with out the full version and those are not the same. It must say EXACTLY RGB iE61966-2.1. Again, check it using this plugin because Convert to Profile will lie if it is untagged.

Photoshop’s Assign Profile will show “unmanaged” if it is untagged.  However, NEVER use Assign profile to change a profile as that can cause color shifting.

Please let me know what the SRGB Converter plugin shows for your templates.

Also, if the sRGB Converter plugin does show it is already another thing you can try is to reset the Photoshop preferences and then restart Photoshop. I have seen corrupted PS prefs files cause this issue before too.
