You can make presets for whatever dimensions you want if you turn on resampling. Have you tried that yet? Just be aware that if you ask for more pixels than you have left after cropping it will need to upsample to achieve that which will result in blurring since you can’t just make extra pixels and keep the same quality.
So, if Evoto was giving you different sizes on all your extractions, I would set your dimensions to 8×10 to ensure that everything remains the same quality (and that is what you’re printing to anyways).
As for the gap in your images, do you mean that some athletes are varying sizes in the composites? Can you send photo(s) of an example?
