I see that this was replied to on Facebook, I will post the reply on here as well so it can referenced:
For troubleshooting, I want you to run a batch with the layer set to -RM, using the action, and these 2 settings checked. This will pause before the action runs. I want to see if it replaces the text…. but then the action itself changes it back.
Text replacement happens before the actions runs. So if it works with -RM without the actions, then it should work with the action too…… unless the action itself changes these layers after the text replacement has ran.
So when it pauses, see if the text is replaced. Then click continue which will run the action and save the image. Then compare the saved image to see if the text reverts back.
