How SPA works is it “attempts” to copy/paste the metadata from the cutout and relace the metadata in the template.

How metadata works in a composite is when a cutout is placed into the template file, the meta data is still whatever is in the template file, not what is in the cutout. If yo do composites manually in Photoshop, then those will never have the metadata in the composite because that isn’t how Photoshop normally works.

So what SPA does is it send Photoshop a command to copy “all” metadata from the player 1 image and overwrite the metadata in the composite.

Here is my best guess about what is going on…..

I’m guessing that you are using the “User Comment” field??? This field is not a standard Photoshop metadata item (it doesn’t show under File>File Info in the PS menu). Even though it isn’t a standard PS metadata item, it still normally copies it over in the raw metadata. My guess is that envoto is somehow changing the formatting of this so Photoshop can no longer copy it over when SPA tells it to do the copy/paste.

If this is what is happening then I have no way to fix it for the Use Comment field since SPA only tells Phohoshop to do a generic copy and paste of the entire data, not individual items. SPA has no way to pull individual metadata item over, especially for items that are not standard Photoshop recognized metadata items such as User Comment.

However, there is a good chance that using the copyright field will work. What I have seen in the past is that when the User Comments field doesn’t work, the Copyright field still does.

I know in the past, the entagged software had an option to change the field that was used. Is there still an option to select the filed? If so then please try using the copyright field. Let me know if that works.
