    Hi Javier,

I am the developer so I can provide more details on this.

Yes, Photoshop can save images manually with #. I think even an action or script can save with the # character too.

However, the new Photoshop Plugins API in Photoshop (what is under the Plugins menu) can’t save with any of these characters. So no plugins that are under the Plugins menu are allowed to save with these. This is not a Pixnub restriction, it is an Adobe restriction.

    \/:*?”<>|#

Since this was dome by Adobe, there is nothing I can do about it. I wish there were but there just isn’t. I asked Adobe about this when the new Plugins API was first released 4 years ago. I was told these characters interfered with the plugin API javascript engine and can be interpreted as code syntax characters by the engine.

I test every year when Adobe releases the new Photoshop version to see if they change it. However, they still haven’t so I doubt they ever will.

I realize it is frustrating because you need the characters. If I had a way to make it work then I would.

I can offer to refund your subscription and cancel it for you if not being able to save with # is a deal breaker. Let me know if you want to do that.
