Since EZGS 7 works and EZGS 8 doesn’t, I have an idea about where the issue may be.  However, I think the issues are on the Photoshop side.

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences yet? If not then can you please try that and then retest. I have seen that fix quite a few strange issues and it may fix this…. not sure.  Under the preferences in the General tab, select reset preferences on quit.  Then restart Photoshop and test again.

The main difference in EZGS 8 vs EZGS 7 is that version 8 uses a new Photoshop API feature that allows it to directly access individual pixel RGB values for all of the pixels instead of just using Photoshop menu items to adjust things.  This is what allowed me to build in the HSB control limits so the user can specify the exact range of green color that gets extracted.  My gut feeling it the issue is with this new PS API that V8 uses that V7 doesn’t use. I have seen other issues with the API in various plugins that were fixed by resetting the preference. I’m hoping that will fix it on your computer.

This specific issue hasn’t been reported by anyone else so I don’t think it is a coding specific issue.  I think there is something going on with PS on your specific machine….. especially since it was working before and then just stopped working.  So something has changed between when it worked and when it didn’t work.

Anyway, let me know the results after resetting the PS preferences and we can go from there.
