Nothing has changed with the pause steps in 3 or 4 years for how the pauses work.  They have been exactly the same for SPA versions 8, 9 and 10 with zero changes.

If there was a continue button then you clicked the Pause on Finished Image, not Pause on Scale Player.  The Pause on finished image button pauses for you to do any edits to the finished composite in Photoshop, not just scale the player.

Also, just FYI, you don’t need to scroll through and find layers to select a layer in Photoshop. If you check on the auto select checkbox in the Photoshop move tool properties then you can just click on the player in the canvas and Photoshop will automatically find the player layer… or you can click on a text layer on the canvas and PS will automatically select the text layer, etc.
