Sorry to shatter your dreams. just think the demand for this is too small and this project would be hundreds of hours to do on my side to make a specific program to do it.
Regarding Adobe’s roadmap, I don’t think changing how the plugins work for this is even on their roadmap. It was on their roadmap for developers to be able to record plugins into actions. They completed that task. So I made EZ Green Screen action recordable after Adobe made that update. However, I then found out that the action would only work if the user clicked the play button to run the action. The action won’t work when running from Hot Folder or From Photoshop scripts either.
I have asked a few times. The answer I basically got is that that Photoshop blocks any plugins from the “Plugin” menu from running while another plugin or script is already running. This is to prevent conflicts with 2 plugins commanding Photoshop to do things at the same time. This isn’t a bug. This is just the way Adobe designed it.
So how it works now is what we have for the forseeable future I think. Because of that, I didn’t even bother to make Image Extract or Face Crop action recordable which are the other 2 that I possibly could do it for. I figured there was zero point to that if the action could only be ran by clicking the button and not batched. As for EZ Green Screen, I left in the action recording but it’s kind of pointless to have in it since the action can’t be batched anyway.
