No, yo don’t need to use auto resize. I wanted to know just for troubleshooting just in case the resize sequence was doing something strange,.

If you are not using auto resize then the text size should NOT change.  If it does change and you are not using auto text sizing then for sure then 99.9% chance that the text layer is corrupted and you need to make a new text layer from scratch.

DON’T simply make a copy of the old text layer. Instead, use text tool to make a brand new text layer.  Then delete the old text layer. That will most likely fix it. Let me know…..
