OK, thanks for the feedback.
There is an issue for sure with Photoshop on certain systems having the preferences feedback stuck saying it is off. That is why I changed the plugin to allow the user to still process. I wish I could recreate the issue on one of my systems for testing but I haven’t been able to.
Can you please reset the preferences one more time and restart Photoshop? Then let me know how long it takes to come back and prompt the message again.
I may opt to switch away from the pop-up message and just have it show a warning message in the main plugin window with a button to click to get more information. That way, it at least wouldn’t have the pop-ups and users that have this issue can just ignore the warning message.
The warning is useful for most people to tell them when the GPU is turned off. This is one of the biggest tech support items for people trying to run with the GPU off and not knowing why the face detection isn’t working. That is why I want to keep it in some form or another.
However, at the same time, I know the pop-up is annoying for people who are getting it when the GPU is actually on.
I plan to look into this more next week to see what can be done. For now, it’s just 1 extra click for each batch so it’s not mission critical…. but still on my radar to look and a figure out what to do about it.
