The -R on the layer name is not the actual cause. With -R, the text layer will auto rescale. Without -R the text doesn’t rescale. Photoshop is popping up the message when rescaling the layer. So by turning off -R in the layer, you are just avoiding the rescaling process.
This is not really an error message. This is Photoshop trying to be “helpful” by telling you that it is turning off the effects while it is scaling.
Open the PSD in Photoshop, not with SPA. The go to that same layer and go to Edit>Transform>Scale in the Photoshop menu. Does it give the same message?
The reason why you are getting the message is because your graphics card isn’t capable of updating the affects on the layer fast enough to do it while scaling. So Photoshop turns off the effects while scaling.
A couple of things here…
1. When running a plugin in full auto mode, PS is not suppose to show this message. On the message, is there an option that says “do not show this message again”? So of the Photoshop messages have this option. If you see that option, then try it.
You may also have a corrupted Photoshop preferences file tat causes this message to pop up in full auto mode when Photoshop should be not popping it up. Please try resetting the Photoshop preferences. Under the Photoshop preferences in the general section, select Reset Preferences on Quit. Then restart Photoshop and try the full auto batch in SPOA again, using -R on the layer name to see if the message goes away.
2. You may need to update the GPU driver…. or the GPU may be older and not fully compatible or powerful enough for Photoshop anymore.
In the Photoshop menu, Please go to Help > GPU compatibility. Post a screenshot of the pop up window.
