    Yes, I would try an older PS release. In the CC App, you can install an older release. See this screenshot.

    I’m guessing that your computer is pretty old since the GPU is a 2012 GPU model? If so, then long term you really may be looking at a computer upgrade. Photoshop is really not a program that does well on really old computers.
