In order to get the metadata properly transferred from the player file into the template, SPA has to make a new copy of the template. This is the only way I could find to get the metadata transferred for all fields. So that is why the guides are not there. When it make the new template, it is void of guides. I didn’t even think about guides.
I’ll need to see if the guides can be also transferred to the new document. If not then I may need to put in a checkbox to select metadata or not. Then the user will have a choice between getting metadata from the player file into the composite, or keeping the guides. I’m not sure that it will be possible to have both until I look into it.
Maybe I need to unforce the update and allow people to run with the magenta warning in 9.3.4. The only issue is this will still have the text scaling bug in it.
