    I rolled back Photoshop to 24.6 and tried it again. Sames issue. Then I thought, I wonder if the issue is the silhouette image. Sure enough!  I ran it a gain with an actual photo of a player and it worked fine.

    Thank you, Damon for helping me troubleshoot it.  Case closed!
