You rasterized the team smart object into a normal layer and resaved the PSD with it as a normal layer. SPA needs the layer structure to be exactly as it is when adding the setup players from the SPA PSD setup. If you change the layer structure then it doesn’t know how to handle the PSD. So the team layer must remain a smart object. Even if you are not checking the use smart objects checkbox in the batch settings, the template still must have it as a smart object.
So delete the current team setup and add it again through the SPD setup screen. If you want to add a custom team placeholder then use the “Add Custom Team” button from the SPA PSD setup to add the team. however, leave the team it adds inside of the smart object when saving the template. Don’t rasterize the layer first.
After making the changes then it will work as assuming the CSV file names match the actual file names exactly…. which is also case and space sensitive.
