Please reset the Photoshop preferences. In the Photoshop preferences under the general section select reset preferences on Quit. The restart Photoshop and try again. Let me know if that fixes it.
Also, what Photoshop release are you on? And are you on Windows or Mac? If Mac, is it M1?
It may be a Photoshop compatibility issue with the graphics card on your computer. Did this start happening after a Photoshop update?
