OLDER PERPETUAL LICENSES
We have been giving out free updates for all perpetual license sold from 2012-2020. This spans back to 13 years ago and we’ve included plugins that didn’t even exist at the time when the license were purchased.
Moving forward, we have to make a change to this policy. The perpetual licenses will still continue to work without needing a subscription. However, the licenses will be locked to the version below as the maximum version that they will work with.
We have discounted maintenance license available for $99/year. This license includes upgrades for ALL of your older licenses, regardless of how many you have. So for example, if you have 5 older perpetual licenses, then one maintenance license is all you need to cover updates for all of your older perpetual licenses. Reasons for these changes……
It is simply too much work to continually create awesome new software and give out free upgrades. When Adobe made the change in 2020 to the new “Plugins” menu in Photoshop, this wasn’t merely a dropdown menu change. It was a completely new programming platform. This was a completely unforeseen switch by Adobe. We had to remake EVERY plugin from scratch in 2020-2021. Since that time Adobe has made several changes to the system requiring us to make major changes internally to the plugins.
I have personally logged at least 10,000 hours into updating the plugins since 2020. These plugins represent my entire career’s worth of work. I just can’t give out free upgrades for any work I do for the rest of my entire career for older licenses. This would be the same as a photographer doing free photo sessions for a student from 1st grade through college because the parents purchased photos in kindergarten. I hope most will understand how this doesn’t work from a business perspective 🙂

PERPETUAL KEYS SOLD FROM 2012 - 2020: The versions listed here are the latest versions that can be used with perpetual licenses. They will continue to run without a subscription. However, if you want to upgrade to a more recent version, then you'd need to get a discounted Maintenance license. Contact us for details.
