During the retouch process, Evoto is chang8ing the metadata into an unreadable format for Photoshop. This makes it impossible for SPA to transfer metadata from the cutout into the composited image.
For processes like face Crop where it opens, edits, and saves the same images, the data gets retained because Photoshop is saving a copy of the same image so it keeps any data, even if it’s unreadable to Photoshop.
However, for SPA, photoshop is saving a copy of the template file with the player has been added…. it is NOT saving a copy of the player file. So in that case the data has to be readable by Photoshop so SPA can retrieve the data from the cutout and add it to the template/composite.
So the bottom line is there is nothing that can be done on the Pixnub side. there would be no way for me to even change the plugin to work with that. The issue is with Evoto and the fix needs to come from them to save the data in standard format the Photoshop can read.
I had some of these images a while back someone sent me and I had chatGPT analyze the metadata. What chatGPT fond was the data was compressed into a non-standard metadata format that isn’t Photoshop compatible. I have no ide why Evoto does this… whether it is by accident or on purpose…. really hard to say. I only know that this is what they do and it is super annoying.
