    Please try resetting the Photoshop preferences. Then try again and let me know if it fixes the issue. We had another user with the exact same issue that was fixed by resettng the prefs so it probably will.

    What happens is the preferences file can get corrupted when updating Photoshop. So if you recently updated to PS version 27 (2026), then this is probably what happened.

    For each PS version you are running, go to the preference and to the General Section. Select “Reset Preferences on Quit”. Then close Photoshop. Do this for every Photoshop version you are running.

    Then start up Photoshop and try again.

    Let me know if this solves it…. it likely will
