Yes, that is exactly what I was warning you about. I think that 2100 px is the largest smart object the layout designer will make.  Remember, this plugin was design for class composites, not fatheads.

The add slot button allows you to add a 3000 x 2400 smart object which is an option mainly for the featured image in memory mate style class composites designs. If that is large enough then you could add then manually and then copy/paste it to make the other slot, and rename the layers.  Don’t use control+J or command+j to duplicate the smart object though because they will be link and that won’t work for automation.

If you need smart objects larger than 3,000 pix then you will have to manually create them, or edit the smart object resize it internally, and save it. then copy/paste that.

As I mentioned, this is going off trail here. there is no paved road to do what you want. This is outside the scope of what the plugin was designed to do. The actual batch processor for the plugin can run a properly designed template. However, there are no easy ways to crank out the template.
