You could use Player 2 with mode 7 and that would work. Mode 7 fits the image to the canvas. Just make sure the background images are the exact same aspect ratio as the PSD temaplte.
However, a better way may be to add all of the backgrounds into the template and hide the layers. Then in the CSV use the SHOW LAYER 1 header. Then in the CSv specify the name of the layers you want to show for each player.
You can show or hide up to 5 layers using SHOW LAYER 1, SHOW LAYER 2, HIDE LAYER 1, HIDE LAYER 2, etc up to 5 each.
In this case you only need to show 1 layer each time so just 1 column is all you need. Then have the layers name whatever you want like “Football”, “basketball”, etc. The data in the CSV will have those same name.
Either way will work. Using Player File 2 with mode 7 would allow you to do it without adding the layers to the template. So up to you which method to use.
