Are you talking about the filenames or a text layer in the template?

When batching from a plugin, files can’t be saved with an * in the filename. That restriction is set by Adobe, not by me.

I think the issue is the following characters interfere with the plugin javascript engine which interprets the characters as javascript “syntax”.

\/:*?”<>|#.

So in any case, those characters can’t be used for file names and there is nothing I can do to change that.

However, if you are asking about using those characters for text that goes into a text layer then that should work. So can you please clarify what you were asking about because it was unclear to me in your question.
